    Ismac Assembly System

The linear modular synchronous / asynchronous assembly system

that combines maximum speed with excellent flexibility

Although speed is perhaps the major concern of your assembly plans, you will not want to sacrifice positioning accuracy, ease of line configuration changes, and provisions for easy conversion to altered or different products.

    Ismac:

    • is a basic architecture featuring flexibility, compactness, and very high speed,
    • provides extremely high speed-. pallets are indexed in less then 100 ms (indexer return not included),
    • offers high throughput; 90% of cycle time is available for assembly operations,
    • provides controlled, smooth acceleration and deceleration,
    • provides extreme positioning accuracy in X, Y and Z axes, in mono part mode as well as in multi part mode,
    • provides a fully modular concept meeting clean-room requirements,
    • typical assembly speed is 60 cycles/min., even for slow operations. Slow operations are performed multi-up,
    • modular concept permitseasyexchange or replacement of one or more modules whenever required,
    • combined operational modes: synchronous and asynchronous.

    Ismac can meet many
    difficult assembly operations:
    • pick and place,
    • aligning with vision,
    • adhesive and fluid dispensing,
    • ultrasonic welding and staking,
    • multi-up electrical testing and
      multi-up leak testing,
    • assembly by snap fit or rotation,
    • ... and many more!

Ismac is designed for operation on normal production floors
    or medical cleanrooms.

Ismac was selected by Boehringer Mannheim Corporation for its Blood Coagulation Cartridge Assembly, which is used during surgery for real-time analysis of blood: precision, reliability and quality were a few of the decisive parameters.
Ismac is particularly advantageous for the assembly of small components, since multicavity pallets enhance throughput. Mono-part and multi-part operation is normal.

    • Modules can be programmed in mono-part indexing or in multi-part indexing. This in order to optimize the line assembly speed to its maximum.
    • Ismac is dedicated in particular for minute parts or components.
    • Ismac systems have passed rigid software validation challenges to current FDA GMP regulations.
    • And, finally, Ismac is available with either PC or PLC controls.
